The Odd Man Affair is the twenty-ninth episode of the First Season of 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' and stars Robert Vaughn as chief enforcement agent Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as his partner, agent Illya Kuryakin.
Synopsis[]
Solo and Illya travel to Southern France to investigate a serum which supposedly gives supernatural strength and revives the dead.[1]
Plot[]
Solo and lllya are in Greece searching for a strength enhancing formula developed by a missing scientist. They search the man's apartment but they don't find it at all. They do find a letter from a Madam Julia Nazarone - a racer by profession - and find her at the garage where she keeps her race car. After being warned away they watch from hiding as Dr. -Egret a beautiful blonde - shoots Madam Nazarone with a pistol. The following morning they learn she is recovering at Dr. Egret's clinic. Paying a visit there, they find her alive and healthy thanks to the missing man's serum. Unfortunately, they later learn from the missing man's landlord that he is in fact dead, his metabolism burned out by his own serum. . They return to his apartment and pretend to search for the serum, attracting Dr. Egret's attention immediately. Meanwhile the serum causes Madam Nazarone to go crazy, grabbing a man and zooming off in her racing car.. After a chase through Rome, her withered body is found in her car, her metabolism having entirely burned out. When they return to the Egret clinic, they find a rubberoid mask on a table: she was Madam Medusa all along.

- This is the second appearance of Madam Medusa. The villain was intended to become a recurring character, but never did.
