The Dog-Gone Affair is the first episode of The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. and stars Stefanie Powers as agent April Dancer and Noel Harrison as her partner, agent Mark Slate. This is the second introduction to the Dancer and Slate duo after the back-door pilot in the second season episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E., 'The Moonglow Affair'. However, very little continuity carries over from the "pilot" episode.
Synopsis[]
The Agents head for an island near Greece to accompany the only known antidote for a drug.[1]
Plot[]
On the Island of Panos, a new THRUSH drug is being tested out called 'apathane'; it is a nerve gas which has the power to slow down the human body to half speed. Mark Slate is observing this test and reports in to Mr. Waverly who reassures him that U.N.C.L.E. has come up with an antidote to this new THRUSH weapon which is currently on its way to the island. Up in the air, April Dancer is en-route with the formula, safely hidden on the body of her flying companion, a small dachshund by the name of Putzi. Also on the flight is THRUSH scientist Antoine Fromage who is on his way to meet with Zakinthios, owner of Panos Island.
