Biography[]

Gabriella 'Gaby' Teller was born in Berlin, Germany, on September 13th 1938.[1] She is the daughter of rocket scientist Dr. Udo Teller.

Around 1945[2], Udo Teller was forced to go and work for Hitler's government, leaving Gaby to end up in a foster family, the Schmidts. Her foster father, a mechanic, died at some point before the events of the movie.

When Udo Teller disappeared from his job in America in 1961[3], Gaby was approached by Alexander Waverly to become a sleeper agent for the MI6[4], which she was until Napoleon Solo, took her out of East Berlin on June 10, 1963.[5]

Gaby helped Napoleon and Illya Kuryakin take down the Vinciguerra's plans to sell an atomic bomb on the black market, losing her father in the process. Then, she followed her newly-created U.N.C.L.E. team to Istanbul for their next mission, where they presumably remained until (at least) early September of 1963.[6]

  5. When Napoleon meets his handler, J.F. Kennedy is speaking on TV. We hear the words 'Our commitment to defend Western Europe and West Berlin, for example, stands undiminished [...].' which were extracted from JFK's speech 'A Strategy Of Peace', delivered on June 10, 1963.
  6. The end credits features pictures of the characters post canon, including one of Waverly dated September 1st and labeled 'Director| Bureau of I... | Department'. Considering the rest of the credits share pictures of the crew in Istanbul, this time frame sounds like a reasonable assumption.
